Introduction
This website uses cookies so that we can provide you with the best user experience possible. Cookie information is stored in your browser and performs functions such as recognising you when you return to our website and helping our team to understand which sections of the website you find most interesting and useful.
You’re using an app or website that has been provided to you by Clementine or by your hearing care provider. Your privacy is important to Clementine, therefore we’ve developed this publicly available Privacy Policy that covers how we handle your information.
Privacy policy
Clementine is a Samplified Europe NV software product. Our users have a right to know our practices regarding the information we may collect when they are using our Clementine applications and/or websites as well as what type of information is collected. This privacy policy summarizes the information we may collect or receive for your hearing care provider in connection with any of our apps or websites in order to be compliant with the applicable laws and regulations to protect your data. Clementine and your hearing care provider have signed a Data Processing Agreement to ensure that your data is being dealt with securely.
Information Collection And Use
While using Clementine apps, for example for conducting hearing assessments, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, in order to let you participate fully in some activities, or to generate your Clementine profile for future assistance by professionals. Certain personal information and non-personal information may be collected from or about you while using the app, in order to provide you with services or advise. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to contact information (your name, e-mail, address and phone number), demographic information (date of birth, age, gender, state of residence, etc.), medical information (hearing profile information, prior diagnosis, health habits, etc.), or commercial information (Products that you’ve purchased at your hearing care professional) etc. ("Personal Information"). Personally identifiable information is being collected for the purpose of providing services or advise to you. In addition, upon your consent personally identifiable information might also be used for marketing purposes in order to provide relevant offers to you. Non-personal information may include technical data (for example app usage data) and anonymized demographic or medical data. Non-personal information may be used for the purpose of research and software improvement.
The privacy policy is available for review while using Clementine. By registering you are asked permission for consenting to have our system automatically recognize, collect and store information, including your hearing profile, in order to report to you and trusted specialists. Hearing profiles are stored for you and your hearing professional in order to allow for consultation, and for example for you to take tests over time and compare the results. Your hearing professional could automatically, based on your hearing profile send information to you via the Clementine system, for example for educational purposes, to inform you based on your hearing profile or to invite you for an appointment. We will not share personal information that you provide with any other party except as may be required by law or court order. Clementine may however accumulate, maintain and share non-personal (anonymous) information about users on the platform. Any company or individual with access to any kind of data in accordance with your consent, is obligated to protect your information.
You have the right to rectify data or withdraw consent at any time and the right to ask us to receive a copy of your data or to remove your data. Contact us via e-mail or via our website. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint if we do not act accordingly.
Cookies
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device its hard drive. Like many sites, we use cookies to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our apps or website.
Security
The security of your Personal Information is very important to us. We strive to use all acceptable means to protect your Personal Information.
We are actively working on preventing unauthorized access to data via our internal procedures and by the usage of appropriate technology on certified infrastructures. Despite our measures, we cannot guarantee total confidentiality. Clementine can not be held responsible for any losses or damages suffered as a result of such unauthorized access. Clementine may store data outside of your state, country or continent but will only do that on the highly secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure while remaining compliant with the applicable laws and regulations to protect your data.
Children
Clementine Apps are not intended for children under the age of 16. If we find out that we have collected personal information of children under 16, we strive to deleting such data as soon as possible.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the 1st of May 2020 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on any Clementine website or application. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on one of our websites or applications.
